PET acoustic felt wall panels in office interior

Manufactured in India, supplied in Norway

PET felt acoustic panels in Norway

We manufacture PET felt acoustic panels at our own plant at Palwal in Haryana, India, and supply them into Norway. Made at our own plant in India and shipped into Oslo, then road onward, with the domestic leg quoted separately because Norway is a long country.

This comes from our own plant, not a trading desk. We do not have an office in your city and we will not invent one. What we can give you is factory pricing, consistent material and a technical answer before you commit.

01 / What it is

The material, and what it actually does on a Norway job

A rigid non-woven panel pressed from 100% polyester fibre, a large part of it recycled. It absorbs mid and high frequency energy and finishes as the visible surface, so it is both the acoustic layer and the finish.

Work reaching us from Norway is mostly timber buildings and apartments, offices, schools, healthcare, hotels, studios.

Timber frame housing and concrete apartment blocks, both with very tight envelopes and hard internal finishes.

  • Direct to wall Panel bonded or mechanically fixed flat to the substrate. Simplest, and the weakest at low frequency.
  • On a 25 to 50 mm air gap The same panel on battens. The air gap moves absorption down in frequency at no extra material cost, and is the cheapest improvement available.
  • Over a porous backing Panel over mineral or PET backing where the room needs genuine low mid control.
  • What it will not do It absorbs. It does not block.

Full specification

Thickness, density, NRC by frequency, fire class, standard sizes and build-up detail for PET felt panels are on the main product page. This page covers what that means for a project in Norway.

02 / Specification sheet

Published specification, identical wherever we ship it

Nothing below changes by location. The decisions that do change are grade, thickness and how the material is mounted, and those are covered further down.

  • EchoCore 151500 GSM. Offices, classrooms, general commercial
  • EchoPro 181800 GSM. Studios, auditoria, rooms with a written RT target
  • EchoMax 222200 GSM. High occupancy and high level spaces

03 / Local conditions

The Norway conditions that change the answer

  • Timber is light

Timber construction passes low frequency easily. Added mass and a decoupled layer do the work, and absorption alone will not.

  • Classes are written and checked

Work arrives with a target and someone verifies it. Send us the class and we will say plainly where our material sits.

  • Sealed through a long winter

Ventilation runs constantly in closed buildings, so plant noise matters far more than street noise.

  • A long country

A site north of Oslo has a real domestic leg. We quote it separately so the programme is built on actual dates.

  • School and campus buildings

Classroom acoustics are regulated and taken seriously, with open plan learning spaces making intelligibility the target.

Architects working in Norway usually need the build-up before the product. We will draw the section and mark what does the work. See how we support architects.

04 / Durability

What the Norway climate rules in and rules out

Norway is cool and damp, with long heating seasons and cold external walls, and that narrows the sensible material list before acoustics is even discussed.

Cold wall build-ups and long heating seasons mean interstitial condensation is a real risk behind any lining. PET felt is unaffected by damp air and will not feed mould where a fabric-faced mineral product would.

The risk we design against here is condensation behind linings in older, poorly insulated stock.

For a Norway interior where the finish leads, we will say plainly what each option costs you acoustically. See how we work with interior designers.

05 / Logistics

How material reaches a Norway site

Supply into Norway
Ships fromPalwal, Haryana, India
Arrives atOslo, then road onward to site
Dispatch4 to 7 working days
FreightSea via Oslo
PackingPalletised flat and film wrapped, cut sheets interleaved. Packing list and weights issued with the quote.
Lead time4 to 7 working days for standard colours and thicknesses. Grooved and custom colours take longer, and we say so before you order.

Standard items dispatch in 4 to 7 working days. The sea leg from India is long, so plan the full door to door window into the programme. We give real dates, not optimistic ones.

Sea freight into Oslo, then road onward to site. Air freight for samples and urgent quantities.

200 panels for a trial order, in any mix of thickness, GSM and colour. Beyond a trial we would rather quote a container load, because the price per panel and the freight per panel both fall sharply and a part load pays for space it does not use.

Minimum order, pet felt acoustic panels
Trial order200 panels, 6,400 sq ft, mixed thickness, GSM and colour
RecommendedFull container, for the best price per panel and the lowest freight per panel

A panel is 1220 x 2440 mm, which is 32 sq ft.

06 / Worth knowing

What we will tell you that a reseller will not

  • The wrong product for the problem

It absorbs. It does not block. A PET panel on a shared wall will make the room sound better and will not stop the neighbour being heard. If the brief is stopping noise passing through a wall or floor, the answer is mass and decoupling, and we will say so before quoting.

  • Square footage quoted before the room is understood

Anyone can price a wall. Working out how much material the room actually needs usually reduces the order, which is why not everyone does it.

  • A claim of being local to Norway

We manufacture in India and supply here. We do not run an office in this city and we will not pretend to, because you would find out on the first site visit.

FAQ

Norway: questions we are actually asked

Is there a Norway factory behind this product?

No, and we will not say otherwise. We manufacture at our own plant at Palwal in Haryana, India, and supply into Norway as the manufacturer rather than through a dealer. Made at our own plant in India and shipped into Oslo, then road onward, with the domestic leg quoted separately because Norway is a long country. You buy at factory prices with one consistent batch across the order.

What decides the specification for a Norway project?

Timber construction passes low frequency easily. Added mass and a decoupled layer do the work, and absorption alone will not. Work arrives with a target and someone verifies it. Send us the class and we will say plainly where our material sits. Those two things move the build-up far more than the panel figure does.

How does the Norway climate affect this product?

Norway is cool and damp, with long heating seasons and cold external walls. Cold wall build-ups and long heating seasons mean interstitial condensation is a real risk behind any lining. PET felt is unaffected by damp air and will not feed mould where a fabric-faced mineral product would. The failure we design against here is condensation behind linings in older, poorly insulated stock.

How quickly can material reach a site in Norway?

ships from: Palwal, Haryana, India, arrives at: Oslo, then road onward to site, dispatch: 4 to 7 working days. Standard items dispatch in 4 to 7 working days. The sea leg from India is long, so plan the full door to door window into the programme. We give real dates, not optimistic ones.

What will PET felt acoustic panels not do?

It absorbs. It does not block. A PET panel on a shared wall will make the room sound better and will not stop the neighbour being heard. If the brief is stopping noise passing through a wall or floor, the answer is mass and decoupling, and we will say so before quoting.

Is there a minimum order, and how does it arrive?

200 panels for a trial order, in any mix of thickness, GSM and colour. Beyond a trial we would rather quote a container load, because the price per panel and the freight per panel both fall sharply and a part load pays for space it does not use. Trial order, 200 panels, 6,400 sq ft, mixed thickness, GSM and colour. Recommended, Full container, for the best price per panel and the lowest freight per panel. A plan and a section is enough. We will come back with a build-up, a BOQ and a delivered date, and we will say so if what you are asking for will not work.
