Client Challenge
As part of the revamp of INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier, the common hall required acoustic enhancement to support gatherings, briefings, and daily activities. Key requirements included:
High-ceiling common hall required reduction of sound reflections for clear audibility during gatherings and briefings.
Materials needed to withstand naval conditions, heavy usage, and daily wear in an aircraft carrier environment.
Acoustic solution had to complement the iconic status of INS Vikrant with a visually appealing, high-quality finish.
Our Approach
Echsorbix® Felt Acoustic Panels:
650 m² of wall coverage to reduce reflections and enhance speech clarity.
Panels supplied in functional and aesthetically neutral tones, fitting seamlessly into the naval environment.
Acoustic Baffles:
300 m² of ceiling-mounted acoustic baffles to further absorb sound in the large hall.
Provided vertical sound absorption, targeting reverberation in open ceiling areas.
